Pedro Acosta Sánchez is a Spanish motorcycle racer who competes in the MotoGP class for the Red Bull GasGas Tech3 team. He was born on May 25, 2004. At the 2021 Doha Motorcycle Grand Prix, Acosta won his first-ever Moto3 race after starting from the pits due to careless riding during free practice. He became the first rookie champion since Loris Capirossi in 1990 when he won the 2021 Moto3 World Championship in the same season. He was also the second youngest winner in history, having just been older by one day when he won. Acosta won the Moto2 world championship in 2023 with two races remaining. Acosta also has the title of Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup champion, taking first place in 2020.
